Role:  Casual Hospitality Staff - Taronga Western Plains Zoo

• Based at Dubbo’s Iconic Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Wiradjuri Country
• Monday to Sunday Casual role
• Immediate start dates available!
• Casual Pay Rates: Mon to Fri Rates $17.18 (17 years) to $27.71 (21 years +) plus weekend penalties where applicable

About the Role…

We’re looking for Casual Food and Beverage Attendants to support our hospitality team across many locations at Taronga Western Plains Zoo.

• Shifts available at Café Wild, Waterhole Café, Events and Zoofari restaurant.
• Shifts range from Monday to Sunday – and can begin anytime from 7am until late nights for events.
• Multiple positions available with options for day or night shifts
• Options to discuss minimum/maximum hours per week – e.g. School age children with weekend availability only or people looking for 20-30 hours per week.
• Ability to pick up extra shifts throughout holiday periods, weekends or when your availability allows.

Your Day to Day…

All training will be provided on the job; we’re looking for people with a great work ethic and willing to learn attitude. You will:

• Deliver high quality customer service to guests visiting the zoo
• General food and beverage attendant duties including:

• • Preparing the café/ event/ restaurant for service
  • Delivering meals to guests
  • Clearing tables & washing up
  • Taking orders with POS system
  • Eftpos and cash handling
  • Coffee making/ serving drinks and food
  • Cleaning and keeping food and beverage areas tidy
  • Stock management & rotation
  • Bar duties if an RSA is held.

About You…

We are looking for candidates that have/ are willing to:

• Monday to Sunday rotating availability
• Experience in front-of-house food and beverage operations
• Experience making coffees desirable but not essential (We will train you on the job if applicable)
• An ability to meet varying roster commitments, including out-of-hours, school holidays and weekends + holidays
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or the potential to obtain certification desirable
• Current paid NSW Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain
• Driver’s License if age is applicable
