Role: Full Time Plumber - Taronga Western Plains Zoo

- TCSA Wages TWPZ Plumber Award, Base Salary starting from $67,691 + 11.5% superannuation + penalties and additional bonus annual leave!
The role of Full Time Plumber at Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo, is a truly unique working environment, where your day to day is different every day! You will work on the exhibit facilities for animals such as tigers, elephants, hippos, platypus, spider monkeys, lemurs, rhinos + more!
About the Role…
You will join the team that provide a broad range of plumbing, draining and gasfitting services for cyclic maintenance, restoration, repairs and construction work.
- This is a Monday to Friday role; 7am till 330pm
Rotating weekend roster; to discuss in the interview process - 5 weeks annual leave

Key Accountabilities…
- Perform all types of plumbing, draining and gasfitting maintenance, restoration repairs and construction work as directed
- Adhere to work requisition systems and follow through with projects in an efficient and effective manner.
- Work effectively as a member of a high performing team, to assist Taronga in its achievement of strategic outcomes.
- Ensure work is performed in a timely, cost effective manner to prescribed quality standards to meet stakeholder and Taronga needs.
- Perform all trade and non-trade related work activities as scheduled / allocated and instructed by the Leading Hand Plumber or management.
About You…
We are looking for candidates that have:
- Current license in Plumber/ Drainer/ Gasfitting/ LP Gasfitting – desirable
- Experience in Filtration systems highly desirable
- Hepatitis A and B vaccinations (or ability to get these before you begin in the role)
- Ability to attend a Pre-employment medical examination; Taronga will pay for this.
- Hold a current NSW Drivers License or ability to have existing license formally recognised, including manual
- Experience in all aspects of the plumbing trade desirable
- Maintain a current NSW Working with Children Check
