• TCSA Wages Employees Award, Annual package $60,027 (includes base salary $52,961 + plus superannuation & leave loading)

Taronga Western Plains Zoo is seeking a motivated and detail‑driven Housekeeper to join our Accommodation team, supporting some of the most unique and sought‑after stays in regional NSW. 

About our accommodation 

You’ll work across three very special accommodation offerings: 

• Zoofari Lodge – our premium, award‑winning safari‑style glamping experience overlooking free‑roaming African animals 

• Savannah Cabins – self‑contained lodges set within the heart of the zoo 

• Billabong Camp – relaxed, family‑friendly accommodation designed for adventure and discovery 

Each space plays an important role in delivering unforgettable guest experiences — and the Housekeeping team is key to making that happen. 

About the role 

As a Housekeeper, you’ll help ensure our accommodation and associated public areas are presented to the highest standard, ready to welcome guests from around Australia and the world. 

This role is hands‑on, active and varied. One day you may be refreshing luxury safari tents, the next preparing family cabins or ensuring shared spaces are immaculate — all while working in a supportive, high‑performing team and surrounded by incredible wildlife. 

Key responsibilities 

• Clean and service guest accommodation across Zoofari Lodge, Savannah Cabins and Billabong Camp to exceptional standards 

• Maintain high presentation standards in guest, public and back‑of‑house areas 

• Restock amenities and ensure rooms are guest‑ready and welcoming 

• Work collaboratively with the Accommodation and Guest Experience teams to deliver seamless stays 

• Follow safe work practices, cleaning procedures and WHS requirements 

• Support Taronga’s sustainability initiatives by using environmentally responsible practices 

• Represent Taronga’s values and contribute to an outstanding guest experience 

About You 

We are looking for candidates that have: 

• Current NSW Drivers License or ability to have existing license formally recognised, 

• Vaccinations against Zoonotic diseases (in accordance with Taronga’s Zoonotic disease vaccination matrix) at your own expense – Hep A. 

• Obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check at own expense. 

• Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
