Role: Labourer - Landscaping TWPZ
- Position located at Dubbo’s Iconic Taronga Western Plains Zoo!
- Full Time, ongoing position
- TWPZ Labourer, starting from base salary $64,252 ranging to $71,275 (depending on experience) + employer's contribution to superannuation + annual leave loading
- Additional Weekend penalties apply!
About the role…
- This is a full time position
- Current work hours are 7am – 3.30pm with flexible work arrangements available, along with 5 weeks of annual leave.
- Weekend penalty rates apply!
This is a truly unique opportunity! You will work on the zoo exhibit facilities for animals such as giraffes, tigers, elephants, hippos and lions + more, as well as completing day to day labouring duties across the entire zoo location.
Key Accountabilities…
- Provide input on the quoting and planning of maintenance works and projects.
- Ensure all work requests are completed within timeframes and to meet organisational expectations including enhancing visitor experience, animal husbandry and welfare, and commercial objectives.
- Complete regular inspections of public facilities, buildings and other assets to ensure that they are maintained and presented to the expected standard.
- Work effectively as a member of a high performing team, completing assigned work tasks and projects to assist Taronga in its achievement of strategic outcomes.
- Effective delivery of high-quality customer service to all Zoo visitors, staff and volunteers.
- Comply with and suggest sustainability practices in the workplace to help achieve Taronga’s sustainability targets and reduce environmental impact.
- Comply with and report any Work, Health and Safety incidents in line with Taronga’s Work, Health and Safety Charter.
About you…
We are looking for candidates that have:
- Qualifications/ experience in Landscaping/Horticulture
- Hold a current NSW Drivers License or ability to have existing license formally recognised, including manual.
- Maintain a current NSW White Card for Construction
- Obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check
