Taronga Conservation Society Australia is looking for an experienced and motivated Appeals Coordinator to join our Fundraising team on the Foundation.

About the Role…
Responsible for supporting the implementation of Taronga’s direct mail appeals programs, as an integral part of the Fundraising team to deliver income for the Taronga with the goal of delivering over $30M in the next 5 years.
Key Accountabilities…
- To support the end-to-end execution of 6 yearly direct mail appeals and supporting emails.
- Developing and driving project timelines to ensure the timely delivery of appeal communications.
- Supported by line manager, liaise with internal stakeholders to develop a bank of stories and content to support appeal communications.
- Proofing, editing all appeal collaterals and ensuring stakeholder approvals are captured in a timely manner.
- Working closely with database analyst to request data for the delivery of direct mail appeals and emails.
- Briefing suppliers, agencies as well as internal stakeholders on each appeal and ensuring internal team briefings, donor fulfilment and receipts for effective communication at each stage of the appeal.
- Work with the Fundraising Manager to manage the associated expenses with the above areas.
- Supported by Fundraising manager, develop post campaign reports for timely analysis .
- Provide ad hoc administrative support
About You…
We are looking for candidates that have:
- Experience in fundraising or marketing ideally in a similar role.
- A keen eye for copy and design.
- Proven experience in managing projects across multiple departments and ensure on-time delivery of project and costs
- Demonstrated ability to communicate a high level in both written and oral form, and the ability to communicate, sensitively to people of all ages, financial and social backgrounds
- High level of initiative and ability to work autonomously as well as part of a cohesive team
- Excellent time management, project management, organisational and planning skills
- A volunteer Working with Children Check at own expense
