Taronga Zoo is looking for an experienced Applications Data Specialist to join our IT team. Based at the zoo, in the zoo grounds, this extremely unique role brings together the worlds of conservation and technology!

 

We are ideally looking for someone with great troubleshooting and incident management skills, experience with SAP systems (including S4Hana), and Microsoft M365.

 

About the Role…

The Applications Data Specialist provides troubleshooting and broad ranging Tier 1 and 2 technical support and advice to users across Taronga’s core applications, platforms and technologies.

 

Key Accountabilities…

  • Utilise appropriate tools and methods to address user support queries and return user’s core application systems to optimum efficiency
  • Apply best practice to system Changes and document actions accordingly
  • Liaise with core system vendors and other partners for Tier 3 support enquiries
  • Manage systems and monitor their performance to limit or prevent loss of service to end users
  • Create and maintain support documentation to assist others in restoring services and reduce the impact of unplanned outages
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and system owners for the continual improvement of existing
  • Provide end user training and maintain knowledge management systems as required
  • Comply with Taronga’s Customer Service Charter and suggest initiatives for further improvement to ensure industry leading standards are maintained.

 

About You…

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • 2+ years of experience in an Applications Specialist or similar role preferably supporting SaaS applications.
  • Experience working with vendor and partners to resolve issues
  • Hands-on experience with application implementations, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Experience with Centaman, Salesforce, SAP’s ERP S4Hana and Successfactors systems is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain system changes and functionality to all employees across Taronga.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current Class C Driver’s License (or equivalent) recognised by NSW authorities.
