Taronga Zoo is looking for an experienced Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the team, on a 12 month maternity cover contract.

 

  • Located at Sydney’s Iconic - Taronga Zoo, Cammeraigal Country
  • 12 month, maternity leave cover position – position due to begin June 2026
  • Full time hours
  • TCSA Salaried Employees Award, Clerk Grade 9, Annual Package starting from $146,736 (includes base salary starting from $129,464 + 12% superannuation & leave loading)

 

Taronga Conservation Society Australia is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead and oversee our corporate partnerships team.

 

About the Role…

This role, based at the zoo in Mosman, involves managing a team, developing and executing strategies to secure and maintain corporate partnerships and working closely with the Head of Relationship Fundraising to drive revenue growth and enhance Taronga's mission.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate partnerships, exceptional leadership skills and a passion for wildlife conservation.

 

Key Accountabilities…

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor and manage a high performing team of corporate partnership professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Set clear performance goals, monitor progress and ensure the team meets or exceeds partnership targets.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture that aligns with Taronga’s values and mission.

 

Strategic Planning, Execution and Revenue Driving:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to identify, cultivate and secure corporate partnerships.
  • Create tailored partnership proposals and presentations that align with corporate objectives and Taronga’s mission.
  • Monitor and analyse partnership performance, providing regular reports and insights to the Head of Relationship Fundraising.
  • Research and identify potential corporate partners, cultivate relationships to negotiate long-term, multiyear partnerships with options for renewals.
  • Continuously review the Corporate Partnerships pipeline and ensure leads are being actively managed to their highest potential to facilitate a pipeline maintaining sufficient volume.
  • Oversee and manage the procurement process and tenders for the selection and appointment of corporate partners.

 

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
  • Oversee the delivery of partnership agreements, ensuring all commitments are met and partners receive maximum value.
  • Develop and implement stewardship plans to retain and grow existing partnerships.

 

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with other fundraising teams, including major gifts, regular giving and events to leverage opportunities and maximise corporate engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications teams to develop compelling partnership materials and campaigns maintaining consistency with positioning, branding and key messages.
  • Coordinate with various departments within Taronga to ensure seamless delivery of partnership benefits and initiatives.

 

Event and Campaign Management:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of corporate partnership events and activations.
  • Lead corporate fundraising campaigns and special initiatives, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed.

 

About You…

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a business discipline or equivalent experience in a similar role necessary.
  • Obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check at own expense.
  • Have a strong background in corporate partnerships, exceptional leadership skills and a passion for wildlife conservation.
