·       Sydney’s Iconic Taronga Zoo – Cammeraigal Country

·       Ongoing Full-Time

·       Annual Salary Package is $79,404 (includes base of $70,368 + 11.5% Super) + penalties & allowances.

·       7:00am – 3:45pm, rotating roster (max 19 days in a 28-day cycle, including one weekend every 4 weeks)

About the Role…

You’ll work alongside our Electrical Supervisor and broader assets team to deliver a broad range of electrical services—installation, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on both HV and LV systems.

You’ll be part of a team that values safety, sustainability, and a can-do attitude. Your work will directly contribute to a space enjoyed by over a million guests and countless species each year.

 

Key Accountabilities…

·       Complete all trade and non-trade related work activities as scheduled and allocated by the Leading Hand Electrician or management.

·       Adhere to work requisition system and follow through with projects efficiently and effectively.

·       Operate a range of electrical fitting equipment used to maintain the presentation of the zoo facilities.

·       Work effectively as a member of a high performing team, to assist Taronga in its achievement of strategic outcomes.

·       Ensure work is performed in a timely, cost-effective manner to prescribed quality standards to meet stakeholder and Taronga needs.

·       Comply with and suggest sustainability practices in the workplace to help achieve Taronga’s sustainability targets and reduce environmental impact.

 

About You…

We are looking for candidates that have:

·       Electrical Trade Qualification.

·       Hold Current NSW A Grade Electricians License.

·       Current NSW Drivers License or ability to have existing license formally recognised including manual.

·       Certification in High Voltage or Confined Spaces is not essential, although highly regarded.

·       Obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check
