Taronga Zoo Sydney is looking for an experienced and motivated Facilities Coordinator to join our Assets team!

 

Join Taronga as a Facilities Coordinator and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll manage maintenance requests, support emergency responses, coordinate contractors, and keep our fleet and systems in top shape. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll work with great people, solve problems quickly, and make sure everything on site is safe, efficient, and ready for action

 

About the Role…

This role is responsible for contributing to the overall performance of the Asset Management division, coordinating and allocating Facilities Helpdesk services. This role includes initial response to faults, incidents and emergencies, and provides support for administration and procurement functions within Facilities team.

 

Key Accountabilities…

  • Coordinate Facilities Helpdesk services including submission, review and approval of maintenance service requests, and management of permits for works on site. Triage maintenance issues within the planning team remit.
  • Coordinate Facilities first response to faults, incidents and emergencies through allocation of staff and contractors; and escalate matters within Facilities for faults requiring more complex action.
  • Generate works status reporting to stakeholders, weekly maintenance backlog reports and other reporting as needed.
  • Coordinate the contractor management system and assist contractors with on-boarding. Look at continuous process improvements with the system and out contractor on-boarding processes.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including contractors, consultants and service providers) to ensure the on-time provision of fault response to agreed parameters.
  • Coordinate and support divisional processes such as New South Wales Government procurement guidelines and contractor management systems. 
  • Ensure maintenance response records are maintained in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Management of fleet including vehicle servicing and repairs, maintaining vehicle service records and ensuring vehicles are registered and compliant.
  • Administration of facilities related processes, procedures and documents.
  • Comply with and report any Work, Health and Safety incidents in line with Taronga’s Work, Health and Safety Charter.

 

About You…

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • Trade qualification or qualification in Building or Facilities Management or an equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Hold a current NSW Drivers License or ability to have existing license formally recognised, including manual, also obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check at own expense.
  • Maintain a current NSW White Card for Construction at your own expense
