- TCSA Salaried Employees Award, Clerk Grade 3 annual package starting from $95,953 (includes base salary from $84,659 + 12% superannuation & leave loading)
Taronga Zoo Wildlife Retreat Sydney is looking for an experienced and motivated Front Desk Manager to join our Accommodation team!
About the Role…
The Front Desk Manager will manage the daily operations of the Wildlife Retreat, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
This role is highly visible and present, providing a personal hosting style of service to guests.
Key Accountabilities…
- Delivering remarkable customer service and leading a team to embody Taronga’s guest experience and cultural commitment across the front desk team.
- To support the Wildlife Retreat operating as efficiently as possible through cost control management
- Seek new opportunities to generate revenue and further develop the Wildlife Retreat guest experience
- Recruit, induct and manage a highly engaged team of front desk staff, ensuring adequate training is developed and provided and a commitment to work, health and safety is prioritised;
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, and set up, lead and ensure the continuation of effective communication procedures between internal and satellite teams involved in delivering operations, including Housekeeping, Catering and Facilities;
- Support where required the maintenance and cleaning of the Wildlife Retreat property. Any required actions are communicated and escalated as required to ensure outstanding guest experience;
- Respond to escalated guest feedback concerns;
- Manage all room allocations/ allotments and internal or escalated reservation requests for the properties.
About You…
We are looking for candidates that have:
- Demonstrated skills and experience within a Senior Operations position (Resort/Retreat complex style);
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the cultural needs of Aboriginal people.
- Available to vary hours and work nights and weekends
- Ability to obtain and maintain a current NSW Paid Working with Children Check, at own expense
- NSW Drivers Licence
