Role: Fundraising Assistant - Taronga Zoo

- TCSA Salaried Employees Award, Gen Scale 10, annual package $81,353.16 (includes base salary $71,777.00 + plus superannuation & leave loading)
Taronga is looking for a driven and motivated Fundraising Assistant to join a leading organisation in conservation, education, animal management and transformational guest experiences.
About the Role…
The successful individual will join the dynamic and friendly Fundraising Team; assisting to support the growth of Taronga’s Fundraising activities on a day to day basis. Your main objective will be to help deliver a great donor experience, including communications, behind the scenes data and administration and assistance with fundraising events.
Key Accountabilities…
- Working across the Foundation portfolio; Major Gifts, Direct Marketing and Supporter Services to assist with the management of donor and partner relationships, such as making appointments and managing behind the scenes and other donor requests.
- Work with internal departments and the Major Gifts team to ensure that written proposals are of the highest quality and support with the development of tailored presentations specifically to meet donors’ personal interests.
- Support with the development and implementation and delivery of major giving, direct marketing and fundraising events and ensure they are implemented in-line with Taronga policies and procedures.
- Maintain excellent up-to-date donor records and budgets in-line with Taronga financial policies and procedures.
- Perform administrative and research tasks that support the Fundraising team.
About you…
We are looking for candidates that have:
- Experience in a similar position desirable
- Knowledge of Taronga operations highly regarded!
- Ideally holds a current NSW Driver’s License or ability to have existing license formally recognised, including manual.
- Obtain a current NSW Working with Children Check.
