Taronga Zoo Sydney are seeking bubbly and vibrant casual Guest Experience Officers who can hit the ground running, to provide top notch Taronga Zoo service for young guests visiting the zoo to participate in Taranga’s School Holiday community programs, such as Zoo Adventures. The role of GEO involves collaborating with the fantastic team to deliver facilitate these programs, while also supporting general guest operations across the zoo.

 

About the Role…

  • Shifts typically range between 8:00am to 5:00pm, 7 days per week + weekends during school holidays, and weekends during the school term.
  • Average of 2-3 shifts per week on offer during the school holidays + opportunity for more.
  • This role provides a “world class” customer services experience across visitor operations and programs – All on the job training provided.
  • As Taronga prepares for the school holiday periods leading into Summer/School holidays, we are seeking casual Guest Experience Officers to join the team. Commencement of the role will be early December 2025.

 

Key Accountabilities…

  • Comply with Taronga’s Customer Service Charter and suggest initiatives for further improvement to ensure industry leading standards are maintained.
  • Deliver high quality customer service experiences in order to provide excellent guest experience and promote repeat visitation.
  • Communicate Taronga’s education and conservation messages both internally and externally, ensuring all communications align with Taronga’s values to inspire change in accordance with Taronga’s vision and strategic pillars.
  • Work effectively as a member of a high performing team, to assist Taronga in its achievement of strategic outcomes.
  • Comply with and suggest sustainability practices in the workplace to help achieve Taronga’s sustainability targets and reduce environmental impact.
  • Comply with and report any Work, Health and Safety incidents in line with Taronga’s Work, Health and Safety Charter.

 

About You…

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • Obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check at own expense.
  • A passion for delivering engaging youth entertainment and education programs.
