- TCSA Wages Employee Award, GEO hourly base rate $26.16 per hour (Mon to Fri) + additional weekend/ Public Holiday and after-hours penalty rates where applicable

We’re looking for energetic new starters who can hit the group running and provide top notch Taronga Zoo service for guests visiting the zoo. The role of GEO involves collaborating with a fantastic team, with so many opportunities for career development.
About the Role…
- Shifts typically range between 9am and 4pm, across 7 days per week + weekends and major events.
- Average of 3 shifts per week on offer + opportunity for more
- This role provides a “world class” customer service experience across all visitor operations– All on the job training provided!
- As Taronga prepares for the school holiday periods leading into Summer/ School holidays, we are seeking casual Guest Experience Officers to join the team. Commencement of the role will be mid to late November 2025.
Key Accountabilities…
- Comply with Taronga’s Customer Service Charter and suggest initiatives for further improvement to ensure industry leading standards are maintained.
- Deliver high quality customer service experiences in order to provide excellent guest experience and promote repeat visitation.
- Communicate Taronga’s education and conservation messages both internally and externally, ensuring all communications align with Taronga’s values to inspire change in accordance with Taronga’s vision and strategic pillars.
- Work effectively as a member of a high performing team, to assist Taronga in its achievement of strategic outcomes.
- Comply with and suggest sustainability practices in the workplace to help achieve Taronga’s sustainability targets and reduce environmental impact.
About You…
We are looking for candidates that have:
- Demonstrated experience within the Customer Services, Attractions, Amusements, Tourism or Hospitality industry
And are willing to:
- Obtain and maintain a current paid NSW Working with Children Check at own expense
- Hold and maintain a current NSW Drivers License (optional)

Appointed candidates will be required to perform a minimum of two shifts per week, commencing from mid/late November 2025 in the lead up to the Christmas and NSW School Holiday periods.
