Role: HATCH Support Officer - Taronga Zoo

- TCSA Salaried Employees Award, Clerk Grade 3/4, annual package $95,953 (includes base salary $84,659 + plus superannuation & leave loading)
We're looking for a passionate and proactive Support Officer to help bring our Hatch Accelerator Program to life – a unique platform supporting startups and changemakers creating real impact for wildlife and the environment.

About the Role…
To facilitate the delivery of Taronga’s Accelerator Program, Hatch, as well as supporting the growth of Taronga’s profile and network within the innovation ecosystem to help achieve positive impacts for biodiversity.
Key Accountabilities…
- Facilitate the delivery of the Hatch: Taronga Accelerator Program within the agreed plans, including the co-ordination of participants, external program mentors, program stakeholders and partnerships to maximise the effectiveness of the program outcomes.
- Provide administrative and operational support to help ensure the day-to-day smooth running of Hatch, including course delivery (online and face to face, led by the Hatch delivery partner - Impact Boom), workshops and events.
- Develop content and stories for delivery through Hatch’s channels to support the outreach and promotion of Hatch.
- Support the growth and development of the Hatch network, including program Alumni, external program mentors and others across the startup and social enterprise communities to drive new opportunities for partnerships and collaboration.
- Work effectively as a member of a high performing team, to assist Taronga in its achievement of strategic outcomes.
- Comply with and suggest sustainability practices in the workplace to help achieve Taronga’s sustainability targets and reduce environmental impact.
- Comply with and report any Work, Health and Safety incidents in line with Taronga’s Work, Health and Safety Charter.
About You…
We are looking for candidates that have:
- Experience in working on program delivery, communication projects or advocacy for social change, sustainability or innovation, and/or experience in a startup accelerator/incubator program or similar.
- Well-developed project management skills.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with a wide range of individuals and organisations.
- Obtain and maintain a current volunteer NSW Working with Children Check.
- Hold a current NSW Drivers License or ability to have existing license formally recognised, including manual and maintain at your own expense.
