- TCSA Wages Award, TZ Labourer Grade 1, Annual Package from $68,982; Includes base salary $61,132 + 11% superannuation + additional allowances and penalty rates where applicable

Taronga Zoo Sydney are looking for a full time Labourer Driver Operator, to join the Assets team!
The role of Full-time Labourer Driver Operator at Taronga Zoo is a truly unique working environment, where your day to day is different every day!
You will work on the exhibit facilities for animals such as tigers, elephants, pygmy hippos and gorillas! All whilst using your expertise by undertaking repairs, alterations and improvements the zoo facilities.
- This is a full time position, joining a team of roughly 8
- Shifts: 6:00am till 2:45pm or 6:30am till 3:15pm – we can discuss your ideal work hours in the interview process
- Rotating roster (Monday to Sunday rosters), averaging 5 shifts per week
- Weekend penalty rates apply!
About the Role…
Provide a broad range of construction, maintenance, transport and machine operation services to support Asset Operations Division.
Key Accountabilities…
- Assist the Leading Hand, Labourer/Driver/Operator in the planning, prioritisation and the execution of labour related work requisitions and transport requests including the transportation of animals and equipment within zoo or regional areas.
- Assist the Leading Hand, Labourer/Driver/Operator in transport of materials and perform exhibit refurbishment or maintenance, including substrate repairs and replenishment.
- Effective delivery of high quality customer service to all Zoo visitors, staff and volunteers.
- Operation of plant including forklift, loader and skidsteer.
- Work effectively as a member of a high performing team, to assist Taronga in its achievement of strategic outcomes.
- Comply with and suggest sustainability practices in the workplace to help achieve Taronga’s sustainability targets and reduce environmental impact.
- Comply with and report any Work, Health and Safety incidents in line with Taronga’s Work, Health and Safety Charter.
About You…
We are looking for candidates that have/ are willing to:
- Current National High Risk Work Licence (forklift) and experience operating a diverse range of plant and equipment
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and Medium Rigid or higher.
- NSW Working with Children Check
