Taronga Zoo Sydney is looking for an experienced and motivated Learning Experience Design Lead to join our People Experience & Capability team!

 

By combining creativity, learning expertise and digital capability, this role helps build the knowledge, skills and behaviours that support Taronga’s people and purpose.

 

About the Role…

The Learning Experience Design Lead is responsible for supporting the design and delivery of Tarongas learning curriculum, the development of engaging and effective learning content and materials and the effective management of Tarongas Learning Management System.  

 

Key Accountabilities…

  • Support the design and implementation of Taronga’s Learning Curriculum in line with capability assessments and strategic priorities. 
  • Design and deliver high quality, engaging learning experiences over a variety of mediums, including presentations, resources and materials, workshops, video tutorials and e-Learning modules. 
  • Engage with external learning providers in line with Tarongas priorities, budget and procurement processes and alignment to the broader learning curriculum. 
  • Partner with people leaders to identify training needs, priorities and solutions 
  • Support the development of Taronga’s learning design lifecycle, including brief and needs analysis, engagement and completion, impact evaluation and continuous improvement. 
  • Support the development and implementation of Tarongas approach to evaluating learning experience effectiveness and make recommendations based on data and evidence. 
  • Administer Tarongas Learning Management System, (with the support of the People Experience & Capability Coordinator), and seek opportunities to improve and optimise how Taronga assigns, tracks and reports on learning. 

 

About You…

We are looking for candidates that have:

 

Key knowledge and experience 

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing training needs in a diverse workforce 
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitation, design and delivery of engaging learning materials across a range of media and formats 
  • Knowledge of adult learning design principles and the development of clear and measurable learning objectives 
  • Experience in working within a learning curriculum to meet capability and strategic learning needs 
  • Experience in Instructional Design is well regarded 

 

Essential requirements 

  • Qualifications in Learning Design, Organisational Development, Human Resources or relevant equivalent experience. 
  • Proven experience with e-Learning authoring tools (Articulate360 is preferred) 
  • Proven experience in Learning Management Systems (SAP SuccessFactors is preferred)
