This is retail with a difference. Based at the iconic Taronga Zoo in Mosman, you'll have the opportunity to create memorable experiences for guests while working in one of Sydney's most unique visitor attractions.

As we head into our busiest season, we're looking for enthusiastic Casual Retail Assistants to join our dynamic team.

• Enjoy a flexible casual role with 3 to 4 shifts per week across a 7 day roster.
• Ideal for someone returning to the workforce, or looking to complement their existing commitments.
• Deliver friendly, engaging, and memorable customer service to guests from around Australia and the world.
• Assist visitors with retail purchases and Zoo experiences while helping to create an exceptional day at Taronga.

About the Role…

• Deliver exceptional customer service, creating memorable experiences for Taronga Zoo visitors while supporting retail sales.
• Assist with day to day store operations, including stock replenishment, merchandising, store presentation, and register operations.
• Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team to maintain a welcoming, efficient, and well presented retail environment.
• Shifts generally range between 4 and 8.5 hours, operating between 8:30am and 5:30pm.
• Support a range of special and after hours Zoo events, with flexibility to work evening shifts when required.
• 3 to 4 shifts per week available, subject to operational requirements.
• Availability across at least 4 days per week, including weekdays, weekends, public holidays, and peak trading periods.
• Available to work throughout our peak summer trading period from 21 December through to 10 January.
• Opportunity to work in a unique environment, engaging with guests and helping enhance their overall Taronga Zoo experience

About You…

We are looking for people who are:

• Comfortable working in a fast paced retail environment and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for every guest.
• Confident communicating with a diverse range of visitors, including families and children.
• Friendly, approachable, and able to build positive relationships with guests and team members.
• Keen to learn about Taronga's retail products, experiences, and Zoo Friends membership program.
• Physically active and able to spend extended periods on your feet, with occasional lifting, reaching, and manual handling tasks required.
• Available to work a flexible roster across weekdays, weekends, public holidays, school holidays, and peak trading periods.
• Able to support both daytime retail operations and evening Zoo events when required.
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid NSW Working with Children Check.
