Taronga Zoo Sydney is looking for an experienced and motivated Revenue Specialist to join our Wildlife Retreat team!

About the Role…
The Revenue Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth across the Wildlife Retreat at Taronga and Roar and Snore. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic revenue management practices, optimising distribution channels, and leveraging data to enhance pricing, occupancy, and yield. Working across two iconic, immersive accommodation offerings within Taronga Zoo, the successful candidate will balance commercial objectives with Taronga’s purpose to secure a shared future for wildlife and people.
Key Accountabilities…
- Develop and implement comprehensive revenue strategies to maximise occupancy, ADR, and overall profitability across both accommodation properties.
- Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and booking pace to adjust pricing strategies dynamically based on demand, seasonality, and key events.
- Manage all distribution platforms, including the booking engine, OTAs, GDS, Channel Manager, PMS, and third-party partners to ensure accuracy, rate parity, and optimal exposure.
- Produce and maintain weekly forecasts and key performance reporting (ADR, RevPAR, PevPOR, Occupancy).
- Lead weekly revenue meetings, presenting data insights and collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities and address areas of concern.
- Provide regular written reports and performance commentary for internal stakeholders—weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Assist in maintaining the smooth integration and ongoing functionality of Opera Cloud, distribution, and channel management platforms.
- Support the development and delivery of quotes for group bookings and events, in collaboration with catering and internal teams.
- Work closely with Product and Property Managers to develop and launch accommodation packages, upsells, and promotional offers.
- Build and maintain rate codes, packages, promotional codes, and upsell configurations within relevant systems.
- Contribute to annual budget preparation and rolling forecasts, supplying revenue insights and supporting documentation.
About You…
We are looking for candidates that have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Hotel Revenue Management or as a Revenue Analyst.
- Proven experience and strong working knowledge of Opera Cloud PMS.
- Demonstrated understanding of revenue management principles and yield optimisation strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the digital distribution landscape, including OTAs and emerging market trends.
- Technical proficiency across core hotel systems including: Opera Cloud PMS, Opera OHD and Siteminder.
