Taronga Zoo are currently recruiting for a Scheduling Officer, to join our rostering team!

About the Role…
The Scheduling Officer will provide day‑to‑day system administration and support for Taronga’s Time and Attendance environment, currently UKG Pro. The role acts as a key subject matter resource for all stakeholders to ensure time and attendance processes are accurate, compliant and efficient.
This role requires a balance of technical system understanding and strong people skills, including the ability to explain system processes clearly, provide user support and deliver system training.
Key Accountabilities…
- Provide operational administration and support for the UKG Pro Time and Attendance system, including scheduling and timekeeping functionality.
- Be the key point of contact for system‑related queries from Payroll, HR and operational teams.
- Support effective scheduling practices by ensuring system usage aligns with industrial Awards, employment conditions and scheduling principles.
- Maintain user profiles (including pay codes, work rules, shift templates and job transfers) and coordinate changes with the system vendor.
- Support payroll processing through system interfaces, exports, reports and data checks.
- Run reports, hyperfind queries and timecard audits to identify issues and support troubleshooting.
- Assist with system changes and enhancements by documenting requirements, coordinating testing (including user acceptance testing) and supporting bi‑annual system releases.
- Deliver onboarding and refresher system training and contribute to system documentation and standard operating procedures.
About You…
We are looking for candidates that have:
- Experience supporting or administering a scheduling, time and attendance system within Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to understand system functionality and apply it in an operational environment.
- Experience supporting system users, including providing training or guidance.
- Experience working with UKG / Kronos Workforce Dimensions or a similar workforce management system (essential).
- Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
